Impact Dossiers

Case studies and impact dossiers by Jugal Raj Shrestha.

Impact dossiers

Selected work framed for decision-makers, partners, and public learning.

Concise public versions of communication, documentation, campaign, and knowledge-management work. Full documentation can include interview notes, asset libraries, reporting matrices, and stakeholder evidence.

What makes these dossiers different

An impact dossier is more rigorous than a success story and more readable than a technical report. It combines context, stakeholder relevance, communication response, outputs, evidence, and reusable lessons so readers can understand not only what happened, but why the work mattered and what another team can learn from it.

Context before claims

Each dossier begins with the operating environment: donor expectations, implementation realities, stakeholder groups, communication constraints, and evidence gaps. This protects the page from vague impact language and gives decision-makers enough context to judge the work.

Evidence before promotion

The dossiers prioritize practical proof: documentation systems, event outputs, captions, reports, stakeholder notes, campaign assets, audience signals, and learning products. The goal is not to decorate a portfolio; it is to preserve the decision value of communication work.

Lessons before closure

Strong public learning comes from naming the repeatable lesson. Each dossier is written to help another team think about planning, documentation, partner coordination, visibility, public storytelling, or knowledge-product design.

Situation

What issue, audience, institution, or implementation setting made the communication work necessary.

Stakeholders

Which groups needed information, visibility, documentation, or engagement support.

Response

What communication system, campaign support, reporting input, or knowledge product was developed.

Outputs

What visible assets or reusable materials were produced for public, partner, or donor-facing use.

Evidence

What observations, records, reports, digital signals, stakeholder inputs, or field materials supported the story.

Reusable lesson

What another program, communication team, or development partner can adapt.
